  • taste somewhat like a bell pepper.
  • are one of the most popular and widely used peppers in Mexico.
  • are called Poblanos only when they are fresh.
  • are called Anchos or Mulatos when they are dried.
  • can be purplish-green in color to a dark red that seems almost black.
  • range from 3 to 6 inches in length and 2 to 3 inches in width.
  • should have the skin removed before using them.
  • can be roasted or even grilled over an open flame!
  • are called capons when left whole with the seeds removed.
